DOES THE REDUCTION OF ANIMALS AND PLANTS AFFECT ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY?

Environmental Sustainability is important to us. Actually, it's not only for humans but for whole creatures on this beautiful earth. If environmental sustainability goes well, all the creatures in this world will be cozy. However, recently many environmental problems have affect its sustainability. The number of animals and plants is decreasing. Even, many of them are close to extinction. This problem makes many people concerned about environmental sustainability.  Animals and plants are a part of the environment. If their number decreases, It will affect humans too. I think there are many reasons why the number of animals and plants decreased year by year. I will mention them one by one according to my opinion.

 

1. Global Warming

The first is global warming. What is global warming? According to NASA Earth Observatory, Global warming is the unusually rapid increase in Earth's average surface temperature over the past century primarily due to the greenhouse gases released by people burning fossil fuels. This phenomenon can affect the lives of animals and plants. Earth will be hotter than before and it can cause many cases like forest fires, drought, and others.

2. Illegal Logging/Hunting

The second reason is Illegal Logging and Illegal Hunting that humans do. Many humans are less aware of the protection of environmental sustainability especially the protection of animals and plants. They often hunt animals for their own pleasure, moreover, they often hunt animals' skin to make accessories like hunting a tiger, deer, cheetah, leopard, etc. Not only animals but many humans also doing illegal logging. A lot of bare forests are visible in various areas. They cut the forest to expand their land.

3. Loss of Habitat

Animals and plants complement each other. All of them need a habitat for life. If Illegal hunting and Illegal logging are still massive, Animals and plants will lose of their habitat. The loss of habitat will cause the death of plants and the expulsion of animals from their original homes, so they are forced to migrate. Although animals try to migrate, many of them can't survive and die because they are unable to find a new habitat that is suitable for their body condition.

 

Those are the reason in my opinion why animals and plants decreased one by one. Many humans don't have the awareness to protect the environment. They feel "I don't care" about the environment, which is so pitiful. If animals and plants are decreasing, It can affect environmental sustainability. The environment will be very unstable. Imagine if humans often hunt animals and plants massively, animals and plants will extinct like dinosaurs a million years ago. There are no animals and plants anymore. It is a big problem for humans too. So, the government must be assertive against humans that do illegal hunting and illegal logging. They must make a rule that arranges hunting and tree logging limits.

We as a human must have an awareness to protect our environment. Animals and plants are part of us, our environment, and our life necessities. We are not allowed to exploit them massively. Environmental sustainability can make us comfortable on this beautiful earth. We live with animals and plants. If we keep our earth clean, animals and plants will comfort us too. We must live peacefully with them. This earth is heaven that God gives to us in this world. So, we must keep our environmental sustainability. Not only for us or animals or plants, but it is for all living creatures on this earth too.
